About the role
Responsibilities: Full budget responsibility for an assigned client portfolio, including scoping, resourcing and margin discipline Lead senior client relationships end to end, from retainer negotiation through to crisis response Direct integrated communications programmes spanning corporate reputation, financial and investor communications, stakeholder relations, and consumer-facing campaigns Set and defend strategic recommendations directly with C-suite and board-level stakeholders Manage and develop a small team of account managers and executives, holding them to an international standard of output Act as crisis lead on live issues, including out-of-hours judgement calls Partner with new business on pitches for global and multinational prospects, bringing sector credibility to the room Ensure every client deliverable, from a press release to a board briefing, is market-authentic and free of template thinking
Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years in corporate, financial or critical infrastructure communications, with direct agency or in-house experience Demonstrable financial communications and investor relations fluency, including comfort with regulatory disclosure environments A track record of running client relationships at CEO/CFO/board level without senior oversight Experience across at least two of: mining and energy, financial services, infrastructure, technology, consumer Crisis and issues management experience under real pressure, not simulated Excellent written English with the judgement to write for a global audience, not a local one Existing relationships with international or regional media, or the credibility to build them quickly
