About the role
Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial compressors, cooling towers, evaporators, and condensers.
Ammonia Safety:
Safely monitor, test, and repair high-hazard anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems in strict compliance with safety protocols.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults quickly to minimize plant downtime; repair or replace pumps, valves, and motors.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily logs of system operations, refrigerant tracking, safety checks, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
Emergency Response:
Participate in the on-call rotation to handle urgent system failures or hazardous leak responses.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited HVAC-R trade school program or registered apprenticeship is preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with industrial refrigeration or heavy commercial systems. Proficient in reading complex electrical schematics, industrial piping diagrams, and mechanical blueprints. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform duties in both extremely cold (freezers) and hot environments.

Ogba, Lagos Remuneration: NGN 180,000 - 200,000 Monthly (Depending on experience)
