About the role

Responsibilities: Onboarding & Employee Readiness: Take ownership of employees after the recruiting handoff. Coordinate and track new-hire onboarding. Ensure employment documents and required forms are completed. Confirm that employees receive required accounts, system access, tools, policies, and resources. Ensure employees complete required Staff Academy and role-specific training. Introduce employees to their manager, team, reporting structure, responsibilities, and performance expectations. Track onboarding progress and immediately follow up on incomplete requirements. Maintain accurate employee onboarding records. Employee Success & Performance Support: Ensure employees understand their role, responsibilities, KPIs, targets, and expectations. Conduct or coordinate regular employee check-ins during probation. Track employee progress at 30, 60, and 90 days. Identify employees who may be struggling and coordinate appropriate support with their manager. Track training completion, performance expectations, attendance, participation, and engagement. Identify blockers affecting employee performance and escalate concerns appropriately. Ensure managers are conducting required one-on-one meetings and performance discussions. Monitor employee progress through probation and coordinate probation reviews. Support performance improvement activities where required. Employee Experience & Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for employees who need assistance navigating company processes. Help employees understand policies, procedures, expectations, and available resources. Monitor employee engagement and identify potential retention concerns. Gather employee feedback and identify recurring workplace or operational issues. Help improve the onboarding and employee experience based on employee feedback and performance data. Promote professionalism, accountability, communication, and a positive employee experience. People Operations: Maintain accurate employee records and status information. Track probation dates, training requirements, performance reviews, and employee milestones. Coordinate employee status changes and required documentation. Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure managers complete required employee actions and documentation. Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information. Provide leadership with regular people-operations and employee-success reports. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Experience in HR, people operations, employee relations, onboarding, training, or employee success preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple employees and deadlines simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Comfortable working with managers and employees at different levels. Strong computer skills and ability to learn HR and business systems quickly. Ability to work independently and proactively identify issues. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, proactive, firm, supportive, and highly accountable. They should care about employee success while also understanding that employee success requires both support and accountability. This person should not simply process HR paperwork. They should actively monitor whether employees are successfully integrating into the company, completing training, understanding expectations, meeting performance requirements, and receiving the support needed to succeed. Note: The successful candidate will own the employee success process from Onboarding → Training → Probation → Performance Support → Employee Experience → Retention The goal of this role is simple; ensure employees have the tools, training, clarity, support, and accountability required to perform successfully.
